On Monday we celebrated our anniversary in prison.
Sounds lovely huh?
It made me happy to see Lee and get a hug and a kiss. Since December, I haven’t had a kiss. James says kisses are just old slobber and scrunched up lips, but I happen to like them.
It felt good to have my husband’s arms around me even for a “brief greeting”–prison rules you know.
The past 11 years have not been easy. Not at all in any way shape or form.
But you know what? They haven’t all been horrible either. We have had many times of fun and joy. God has done a work in our lives through the ups and downs.
Even though our downs are mighty low, God is still at work.
I don’t know what the future holds for us. We have a lot of things to work through still and the road ahead won’t be easy or painless.
I know that God knows and has a plan and I am going to rest in him.
11 years of wedded bliss? No, I can’t say that, but I do love my husband and pray that God will continue to work in our lives.

I am reminded of a picture my former pastor once drew….draw a triangle…..God is at the top and the husband and wife are at each of the lower corners….as the husband and wife move closer to God individualy they inturn grow closer to each other….
