So far we’ve
*Been to the park a few times
*Gone to a children’s museum
*Had a cookout and rousing game of croquet
*Had a bonfire and roasted marshmallows
*Put up James’ little pool and swam
*Thrift store shopped
*Played games.
*Taken photos
*Stayed up way too late
*Laughed until our sides hurt
Today, my brother and sister in law are taking James to a major league baseball game. Then James will spend the night at their house. What he doesn’t know is that my other sister and her husband are flying in today.
When he wakes up tomorrow morning, they will be there. All week he’s been saying he wished she was here too.
They’re getting up bright and early so they can be at our church on time tomorrow for James’ baptism.
So much fun!
Thanks for being patient with my slow postings! We’re just having too much fun to take time to stop and blog!

Sounds like you are having a great time. That is so good and needful for you Lizzie. Glad James will get to have his wish of your other sister and husband being there also.

Sounds like a lovely time. I personally love stay-cations! Grilling out on the patio, bonfires w/s’mores, and yes, even climbing into the kiddie pool myself! Ahhhh.
I hope James is thrilled w/ his next surprise tomorrow morning!

How wonderful for James to be surrounded by family for his special day. I just got back from vacation with family as well, how I wish we all lived near enough for such gatherings to happen more often!

How wonderful that you are surrounded by family. Most of my family lives about 3000 miles from me and I miss them terribly.
I am so happy for James and his decision to get baptized. Praise the Lord!!!
