Please pray with me
by adustyframe ~ June 24th, 2009Last night, I couldn’t sleep. My neck, arm, and shoulder were in horrible pain.
I woke every 2 hours and rubbed some pain relief gel into my entire arm. I took a hot shower at 3:30 in the morning. I slept on the couch.
It was awful. I had to pray through it it hurt so bad! This morning, I went to the chiropractor to have her check what was wrong. I went on Monday and got my regular “tune up” so I wasn’t expecting to return 2 days later.
She adjusted me and told me to not do repetitive things for a couple days. Then she said she had a favor to ask of me and wrote something down.
I thought she wanted me to run an errand for her.
She started crying and asked me to pray for her mother. She said she only asked me because she knows I’m a “religious person”.
Her mother has cancer. It was in remission for 5 years but it’s come back. I told her I’d be happy to pray for her and her mother and that I’d tell others to pray.
Please pray with me for my doctor and for her mother.
I pray that I’ll be able to witness to her through this.
I also thanked God that somehow in the things I’ve said my doctor knows I have a relationship with God. I pray that my relationship with God will be that evident to all the people I interact with.
My doctor’s name is Kim and her mother is Jane (real names!)
Oh, if you want to pray for my silly neck and shoulder to quit aching, I’d let you do that too!

I will pray for your dr., her mom AND for you.
I am sorry that you are hurting, but I am glad that G-D put you in the place where you could be a blessing to her!

your pain is her gain….if that deos not sound too cheesy! Isn’t is encouraging to know that our lives do bear witness even when we may think they do not in the everyday things.

Will pray!
It occurred to me… maybe the Lord allowed your physical pain this time so that you’ll go to see your doctor at the time she needed it… But will definitely also pray that the pain will go away!

I’d have to agree with the others. God has a way of timing things, you know? You’re all in my prayers tonight.

I’m sorry to hear about the back and neck pain and am praying that it will pass soon. How exciting though that your Doc. spoke to you about her mother. Praying that the Lord continues to open doors for witnessing and give you the boldness you need to give the gospel.
I spent time reading through your blog today. I’m so glad you were able to have a GREAT time with your siblings. I’m sure you and James needed it!!!
Well, we’ll have to talk on the phone sometime and really catch up on things. See you in August.
We can’t wait to see you!

I know God’s timing is perfect, but I’m sad you are in pain. I’ll be praying for all three of you. Also that you will have opportunities to witness to them.

How are you feeling, Lizzie? Any better? I will pray for you as well.

Hope you’re feeling better! I’m glad you had an opportunity to be a testimony to your doctor and that she felt free enough to ask you to pray. I will pray for them and for you.
Thank you! I’m just about back to normal now.
