Wow! What great info! Not only for the nausea but for the concentration. I think I'll try a peppermint oil diffuser in my home office.

Do you suppose this is why after-dinner mints are usually peppermint?

Thanks everyone!

Probably:)

My mom gave me this hint years ago. You can also chew peppermint gum and sip peppermint tea.

I've used that tip when I was an ER nurse at work when I had to be near "not so fresh" patients.

Also, peppermint is known to stimulate concentration and memory**. In nursing school, one of our instructors took natural wood pencils (the type NOT painted yellow) and "painted" them with peppermint essential oil then baked them in a low heat oven until the pencil absorbed the oil. On exam days (every Friday) she took out her ziploc bag of peppermint pencils. Not sure if it worked, but we enjoyed it anyway!

**Dr. William N. Dember, of the University of Cincinnati, studied peppermint oil's ability to improve concentration and mental accuracy. When it was diffused into the room, students scored a 28% improvement in memory and mental accuracy.

Cool info! Thanks for sharing!

I never knew that! I should probably get some. I've found ginger ale to help some, but it's not something I have on hand regularly.
