Works for Me~Sunless Sun Tea
by adustyframe ~ July 15th, 2009
I used to set the gallon jar out on the steps to make sun tea.
My mom told me you can do the same thing but just stick it in the fridge. No sun–no hot tea to cool off when you’re thirsty for a big tall glass!
I take the gallon pitcher and 8 tea bags. We’re using green tea right now.
Fill it with water, add the tea bags and put it in the fridge. Within a few hours, your tea is ready to go.
**We like to go out to the garden and get a sprig of fresh mint to add while the tea brews.
MMM!

Country girl here…..always made it the old fashioned way (haha…..steeped on the stove).
My guys…..want SWEET TEA and want it often.
I’ll have to sneak in this easy way of making it. Thanks.

I’m glad you switched to the fridge method. I’ve heard horror stories of the sun tea jar exploding because it got too hot! Happened to one of my friends from high school. Scary!!!!!
