What we’ve been up to lately

by adustyframe ~ July 21st, 2009

Here’s a little catch up chat.

**I’ve been knitting a shawl. My sister gave me yummy silk yarn for Christmas and I just now found a pattern to try. It’s not as fancy as I’d like, but it will do. My sister spoils me don’t you think?

**I started Flylady again. This past week, everywhere I look it seems my house is a mess! I’ve been decluttering and cleaning, but I’m missing something so back to Flylady it is. I’m always amazed at the stuff? Where does it come from?  I’m not a shopper so I think fairies must bring it in while I’m asleep!

**The garden is lots of fun. I picked my 1st tomato today as well as a handful of beans. We ate the beans with dinner–mmm! I get a kick out of the purple beans. They are so pretty.

**I’ve been making homemade kefir. I’m using it in smoothies. The grains have already grown quite a bit so I’m sharing them with a friend from church.

**My laundry got soaked in a rainstorm this afternoon! So I left it out overnight and maybe it will be dry when I wake up!

**I just finished reading Jericho Sanction by Oliver North. It was pretty good. It was better than the 1st book in the series. It’s funny though, because I can tell it was written by a man–too many details about the man stuff and not enough about the settings and feelings!

**I’m working on being more organized and scheduled. I actually feel like I simply have too much to do. I’m praying that God will show me what I need to concentrate on and what I need to let go of.

**I have a photo shoot with Lee’s sister later this week. Hopefully, I’ll get some good shots I can share with you.

**I’ve been staying up too late again!

**James has been busy doing stuff with Lee’s socket set! I think he likes the noises it makes.

**He’s been playing with his cousin a lot and doing things like riding miscellaneous items down the slide.

**He likes to help cook–cracking eggs is his favorite.

**He still says “ah bee us lee” for obviously and I love it!

**He spent this afternoon giving toys mohawks in playdough.

**Hmmm, I think that about wraps it up!

Lizzie, found your blog recently and have been reading. Your faith and your perseverance are encouraging. I am learning from your example of being joyful in the midst of a very long trial and painful circumstances. I will pray for you and your family!
