Birthday Card #4
by adustyframe ~ August 18th, 2009
If you’d like to share how you found my blog or how God has used it in your life, please do so on any of the birthday card posts.
Marie from Musings from a The-Geek shares her gracious thoughts. Thank you, Marie for your friendship and encouragement.
“I have been a reader of “A Dusty Frame” for a couple of years now. One of the things that most stands out to me is Lizzie’s faithfulness. God is less interested in our doing something that by the world’s standards might be considered “great” or “revolutionary” than He is in our steadfast spirit.
It is faithfulness in the little things, day in and day out without growing faint that He considers great. Lizzie has been a source of encouragement and inspiration to me in her perseverance in trials, especially not knowing how long her season of testing may last.
She has written about practical things (great recipes on a budget) and shared edifying writings from heroes and heroines of the faith who have suffered more than any of us probably ever will – including Amy Carmichael and Elizabeth Elliot.
She has shown us what being a Proverbs 31 woman looks like when no one is watching; only to find out unwittingly that they ARE watching, the whole time!
Most of all, Lizzie’s blog serves as an encouragement to all who are enduring a protracted trial or season of difficulty, and reminds us that integrity and reliance on God can be strengthened in the Refiner’s crucible.”
