Knitting for the Nephew

by adustyframe ~ September 15th, 2009

afghanIsn’t this a pretty little blanket? My sister in law doesn’t read my blog (at least I don’t think she does!) so I think I can put a preview here.

I’m enjoying knitting for him and thinking up all sorts of things that he has to have!

It wasn’t so fun when I had to rip several inches out–nearly an entire ball of yarn! But I’m back on track and liking the project again.

I found the pattern on Mom Advice quite awhile ago and found the book at the library. Her photo shows the completed project.

Are you working on anything creative lately?

So pretty! I love knitting for kids too – the articles are generally finely patterned…and smaller! Not so your blanket though – that would be a marathon project for me. Well done Lizzie.

That is so sweet….I haven’t done any knitting for many years….maybe I’ll try it again…thanks for the reminder. Pam, South Bend

Very cute! I love it. I wish I knew how to crochet and knit. But I intend to find out!

    🙂 Hugs!

Lovely blanket- such a nice pattern in the stitches. I learned to knit a few months ago and loved it so much. I started a simple sweater for my baby, but didn’t finish -seems the only stretches of uninterrupted time I have are at night and I’m too tired to concentrate!
