Auntie T’s Iced Pumpkin Cookies~Repost

1 C. Sugar
1 egg
1 C. Shortening
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 C. Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
1/4 tsp. Cloves
1 c. Canned Pumpkin
1/2 C. Raisins
1/2 c. Chopped Walnuts
1. Cream together sugar, eggs, shortening, and vanilla.
2. Add pumpkin and mix.
3. Stir together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
4. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
5. Bake at 350 F 8-10 minutes.
6. Cool and ice with cream cheese icing.
**We substituted butter for shortening and they turned out fine. We also substituted chocolate chips for raisins. Yummy!

They sound good.
I will have to try them. Pumpkin is one of my favourite fall things.
