Works for Me~Candles
by adustyframe ~ October 14th, 2009
I found a super yummy smelling candle last year and then the wick fell off into the wax and I couldn’t use it!
I thought about melting the wax and trying to make a new candle. I have wick in my craft cupboard, but uggh! Who has the time?
A few weeks ago, while visiting my sister and brother in law, I saw a candle warmer.
Previously, I thought that they didn’t make the candle warm enough to smell so I got rid of one I found at the thrift store.
Hers worked really well and so I went to the craft store to find one. It was pretty cheap so we’ve been enjoying the candle again.
I think this is a great way to get more use out of candles that have lost their wick or are too close to the bottom to light!

When I was a Partylite candle consultant, we would tell that to all the potential customers at the parties. It’s really fun to mix up the scents of the leftover candles. Sometimes I get really nice scents, but then can’t remember what I had mixed together.

I don’t think I even know what one looks like! I’ll have to take a look next time I go to Michaels.

My dil Jessi gave me a candle warmer for Christmas a couple of years ago and I use it all the time to benefit from the aromatherapy in candles that will no longer burn. And like Katrina, I mix them up sometimes by pouring the melted wax from one candle into the small amount of wax leftoever from another candle. And with a candle warmer, I don’t worry about the cat catching her tail on fire. =)
ah yes the cats!

This is such a thrill for me! My husband gave me a Kate Spade candle several years ago (because I loved the scent but REFUSED to pay that much for parfum!) and the wick fell off, now I can enjoy it again! Thank you!
yeah:) Glad I could help

I discovered candle warmers right after my twins were born and I desperately needed something (safe) to keep their room smelling good… I love them!! They make scented candles last forever!
(and, yeah, “preggers” always makes me wince, too…)
