But For Your Grace

For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
We’ve sung this song at church for the past year or so. I really enjoy this variation.
When they sing, “But for your grace, I would go my way.” I get teary eyed. It’s so true. Without God’s love and grace, who knows where I would be.
Without God’s grace we could never be saved. What an amazing concept to contemplate.

I had not heard this version before. Very nice,
I like Ephesians 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace,wherein he hath made us accepted (which he freely bestowed on us) in the beloved.(Beloved)
I like to think and am so glad to know that first He sees Jesus and then He sees me. There is a beautiful song. In the Beloved accepted am I.
“In the Beloved” accepted am I, Risen ascended, and
seated on high; Saved from all sin thro’ His infinite grace,
With the redeemed ones accorded a place.
“In the Beloved” how safe my retreat, In the Beloved accounted
complete; “Who can condem me?” In Him I am free,

Infinite grace, for He died in my stead.

it before. We sang it today.
