I think I first heard this song at my brother’s church. It’s enough to give me goosebumps!
Here’s an example this beautiful song.

It’s a beautiful song! Our radio station used to play songs like this, but they went contemporary. The only way I get to hear it is over the Internet.

WFRN FM is an all Christian radio station. You can listen to them
on line. They play music and Christian programs. They also
take requests. God Bless, Pam, South Bend

I love this song — I love it when the choir & orchestra at church start this one — I love it when I can get it stuck in my head all day long!

The CD “Almighty, Unchangeable God” also has “Holy is He” & I love that one, too.

I love that CD, there are a lot of songs on it I love.
I think I love the whole CD – Every time I hear “It was for me” I think of a choir I heard who would hum the chorus (IT was for me He died, for me, for me He cried, for me He shed His blood upon the tree. It was for me He came, for me His shame. Oh, praise His matchless name! It was for me!) as each member individually said, “It was for me, on ____” & inserted the date they were saved.
