Works of God

by adustyframe ~ December 13th, 2009

works-of-god1. I’m thankful that I’m feeling better. I was almost giddy today!

2. I’m thankful for my mother in law and sister in law who went to get things for me while I was housebound.

3. I’m thankful for James and all the little things he did to take care of me. He’s a sweetie.

4. I’m thankful for Lee calling to see if I needed soup. He’s a sweetie too.

5. I’m thankful that Lee painted my bathroom yesterday and today. (James played with his cousin and Grandma so Lee could come over.) It’s been UGLY for years. He still has to replace the light fixture and an outlet and hang a shelf for me, but then I get to decorate.

The walls are like coffee with cream and I’m going to accent with light browns and use the sage and violet towels I already have. I’m so excited!

Please pray for James. He instantly came down with my crud tonight and he’s miserable.

I don’t want him to be ill at all! I’m also wondering what I’m going to do about the 2 Christmas concerts I have to play for for my job this week. I missed one concert last week when I was sick so I’m feeling a little stressed about what to do.

I’m praying that he’ll get over this way faster than I did and that I can get to the concert Tuesday night without being a bad employee or a bad mom. I’d prefer having neither title!

I know some of you awesome ladies have to do this a lot- but I am so thankful to God that He helped me through a weekend home with the chidlren and bump witout my husband or the car. Each day went (relatively ) smoothly despite the lack of sleep and all arrangements went well and my husband returned safely from his 400+ mile trip tpday- Which I never take for granted.

I always vote for being a bad employee over a bad mom. Just my opinion.

I’m glad your bathroom is looking better.

Today, I’m grateful for friends here and virtual ones as well.

I’m grateful for another day in the Lord. The Lord took a dear friend home this week, and I just wasn’t expecting that…but then do we ever really.

I’m grateful that I get to be home every day with my children, for now.

I’m grateful for the Lord’s provision.

I’m trying really hard to be grateful, even in the difficulties…
