God’s Protection

by adustyframe ~ January 11th, 2010

Last week, we had a long snowy day. Lee worked late and although he doesn’t come home to us at night, I usually talk to him and know what’s going on.

I hadn’t heard from him so I thought he must have been working later than usual. He works out in the country and I wondered how the roads were.

Then I began to feel uneasy. I started to pray from him and asked God to keep him safe on the roads.

Later in the evening, when I spoke to him he told me a hair raising tale.

When he leaves work, he drives on country roads before he gets to the highway. The country roads were only plowed on each side and there was a snow bank down the middle of the road.

His front tires got into a little bit of the snow bank and his car began to swerve and “fish tale” back and forth on the road.

He tried to gain control and he looked up and thought, “Whoa, that is a huge truck coming at me.”

He said basically his life flashed before his eyes.

As it got closer, he saw it was a snow plow coming down the middle of the road to clear that bank.

He gained a little more control right as the snowplow passed. His heart beat fast all the way home.

Mine did too when I heard the story. I prayed for him at the exact time he was swerving around the country roads.

What a blessing to serve a living God who sees and hears our prayers. What a privilege that he lets us bring our requests before him.

I’m so thankful that God protected Lee that night.

Thank you Jesus for the safety you provided for Lee and all
of us who travel very icy-snowy roads…..thank you.
Lizzie if you can share the info….how often does Lee meet
with his parole offficer……is there any sign of her letting
him see James???? That is my prayer request……
    God Bless, Pam, South Bend

He sees her a couple times a month. We tried at Christmas to ask if he and James could visit and that went over like a lead balloon.

    Isn’t that amazing?! 🙂

Praise the Lord. We have been so thankful here for HIs protection too during our snowy and very cold wek.

“Jesus Take the Wheel” indeed! I’m glad he’s ok. Pray for us today–lawyer appointment…..

I’m so glad he was safe, and that the Lord led you to pray.
