Works of God

Is anyone out there counting blessings today?
1. I’m thankful for my family and my home. After thinking about all the Haiti things, I think that I have so very much to be thankful for.
2. Lee and I spent Saturday afternoon together. Actually, we curled up on the couch and zonked out together. At first I felt a little gypped because we didn’t do anything or talk much.
Then I thought about all the prison visits when I wanted to be next to him and have his arms around me for more than 30 seconds. I realized that a nap on the couch curled up next to my husband was a very wonderful blessing indeed.
3. I’m thankful for true friends who check up on me.
4. I’m thankful my Dad celebrated another year last week.
What about you?

I think it’s wonderful that you were able to be curled up on the coach with your husband. Simple pleasures like that are taken for granted by many.

1- i am grateful for the little one growing in my belly..

3-that dh might be out of the country (and that its his last week for a long while) and SAFE, our aunt was enjoying an evening at home when her just about 40 yr old husband had a heart attack..she is now having to decide whether or not to donate his organs and when to let him go!!!! this was out of NOWHERE….i pray God gives her the strength she needs for these impossible decisions…
4-that even though my inlaws are not nice about this pregnancy..i have a few great friends online who care and check up on me

Last week I got stuck in a 60 second traffic jam……and I thought
the people in Haiti would be thrilled to be sitting in a warm dry
car…with a trunk full of groceries….REALITY CHECK !!!
We had a huge build up of ice on the second story of of house
last week and at 3AM Sunday morning it came C R A S H I N G
down….tearing off the eves and landing on our airconditioning
unit that we had installed 6 months ago!! The blessing – No one
was hurt…..it didn’t break a window….or the fence….so this week
we’ll see what the adjuster has to say….AGAIN….we are blessed
we have a roof over our head and NONE of this was a surprise to
our Lord Jesus Christ…..
It is wonderful to picture you and your hubby cuddled up together
on the couch…..soon and very soon it will be a nightly event
with James right in there with you.
God Bless, Pam, South Bend

What a wonderful blessing … cuddling with your husband! Happy Birthday to your Dad!
I’m thankful as you are for what we have compared to what’s going on in Haiti. I’m thankful that God is bringing good out of the bad … children who were in the long adoption process are being brought home quickly. My uncle is in Haiti now ministering … I’m thankful for him and others who are pouring out Jesus’ love on folks in need. I pray souls will be saved and abundant *good* will come from this.
I am thankful for God’s grace. God is gently teaching me to revel in His grace and love toward me … bringing me into balance. I am sooooo blessed. I am so thankful.
I am blessed by wonderful friendships, fellowship, and a precious church family.
I am blessed by all the precious souls squeezed into our living room for Bible study on Wednesday evenings. I pray the spirit of our home will welcome and comfort each one.

Both of my husbands’ hearing aid (old) have did their final death in the last month. They are expensive new. Today he got a unexpected check in the mail. It can help a lot. Very grateful to be able to be inside for the most part this winter.
