Will anyone volunteer to be my accountability partner?

I’ve started my “healthy eating plan” and it’s way past due!  Something must be done and I have to start somewhere so today was the day.

I’m doing my old Weight Watchers program. I have all the materials and started with the points system today.

Tuesday is weigh in day. I will NOT be posting my weight–sorry that is highly classified information.

What I will do on Tuesdays is post about the past week and how I did. I will post if I gained or lost weight and I will share my goals for the next week.

As one of my accountability partners, I’d love it if you shared any thoughts or ideas with me. If I seem to be “forgetting” to post on Tuesdays then I’d also like you to remind me.

I don’t think going to meetings will work for me right now. I am going to see how I do for a few weeks and am considering joining Weight Watchers online if I feel I need the additional boost.

I  know what I should be doing, my problem is the accountability.

So, if you don’t mind helping me out, I’d surely appreciate it. I’d love it if you prayed for me. I have the metabolism of a slug and losing weight is usually a really difficult undertaking.

My goal this week is to stay on plan. I picked up some good choices at the grocery store tonight to help me towards that goal.

This post is the next help towards the goal.

Knowing that I will have to post next Tuesday to let you know if I gained or lost should help me too!

    Oh Lizzie…..I am right there with you !!! I have started OVER a couple of times since New Years Day !!! I have been
    doing cereal for breakfast, soup (nothing creamed) for lunch
    and then trying to watch portions and content for dinner….HOWEVER…my sweet husband brought home Girl Scout cookies last week…..thin mints….my weakness (amoung other things). I also walk the dog for 20 minutes
    every weekday…..rain or shine 18 degrees or 32 degrees.
    Some days I have added the tredmill or bike…..but like
    you I need accountability…..I have a private goal that I
    am working toward by May 17th……sooooo count me in.
    I’ll pray for your strentgh to follow thru….WE can do all
    things with Christ who gives us strength….He created us
    He knows of bodies….our strengths and weeknesses.

    Lizzie,
    I will be glad to help you with accountability. I used to met with three other ladies in the city I formerly lived in. We got together once a week for a weight in. Each of us weigted in private. The other three ladies used the point system from weight watchers. I used counting carbs, because I have diabetes. You have challenged me to get back on track weight wise. I will start today also. ( It always helps to control my sugar also.) I have had most success when being accountable. You have chosen a wonderful goal for the first week “Staying on plan”. We will feel better also.
    One- two- three lets go to our goal. Hugs: we can do it.

    Hey Lizzie,

    I just want to encourage you! There’s a great book out there that also has a program you can do alone or as a group – have you heard of “Thin Within”? It’s a Christian program. Read it a few years ago, (after I was already recovered from the eating disorder), and thought the principles in it would have been very helpful to have in front of me earlier on.

    You’re going to do great, because you are already ‘more than a conqueror’.
