My husband is a lineman for our power company, and he worked form 7 am to 9 pm with the storm on Saturday. At the end of the day, he was driving one of their big trucks and narrowly escaped killing a lady. He wasn't doing anything wrong - it was night, there was a wreck in the middle of a bridge, and when he could see it, he tried to stop but could only slide because of the ice on the bridge. The lady ran between him and the wrecked car he was approaching. He missed both the lady and the car by about a foot. I'm thankful God protected everyone. What a sobering experience. I am so thankful for God’s mercy and protection.

I'm so thankful for my parents who are so close! I'm also thankful that God provided a GREAT deal on plane tickets so we can go visit/help our friends in CA who are pastoring a tiny church. I sure can't wait until April. It's definitely a miracle that we get to go. Praise God for giving us MUCH more than we deserve or need!!! :-) Family to help with kiddos is what I posted about this week, too! I’m so thankful for my parents who are so close! My husband came and picked me up Saturday at noon. My niece gave me a perm and cut my hair. She also gave me two rolls of border that will go in our bathroom very well. While there I prayed that I might see a deer. Within seconds God allowed me to see two pheasants from her porch at the bird feeders. It was as if God said "I'll do you a favor and show you your favorite bird" about twenty minutes later He sent two deer. After we got home Violet called and there was a herd of 14 deer in her yard. She said she would e mail me some pictures of them. My husbands two hearing aids have died, but we got a check in the mail that will help with part of the cost for two new aids. He will be tested on Tuesday morning. The check could not have come at a better time. OUR GOD CARES!!! I’m thankful that my niece came on Wednesday and took me to her home for a visit.
