Tellin’ The Truth Tuesday
by adustyframe ~ February 2nd, 2010So, for my 1st real week of Tellin’ the truth, I’m thankful to report that I stayed on plan the entire week!
I think someone must have been praying for me because I’ve never had such an effortless first week of dieting.
I also got two exercise sessions in and after one of them, I felt like doing more. I have to tell you that has NEVER happened before in my entire life.
Some of the things that helped me–
1. I journaled everything in an old Weight Watchers binder I have.
2. I measured and weighed. I know that’s not necessary on Weight Watchers but I didn’t want to underestimate my portions.
3. I ate my evening meals on a salad plate rather than a dinner plate. I’ve heard that trick before, but man it really works!
4. I found some ideas on the WW message boards. I tried this Tex-Mex recipe with slight variations so I could use what I had at home. For example, I added a can of black beans. It was really good and I’m bummed that it’s gone!
5. Knowing that I had to check in on Tuesday!
So, the results are…
I lost 2.4 lbs. I’m very glad although I must admit my 1st reaction was WHAT?!? Since I have a lot to lose and it was the 1st week, I was really hoping for a bigger loss to kick things off.
But I have to be careful not to demotivate myself! So I’m happy it’s a loss for sure!
Goals for next week–
1. Continue to stay on plan.
2. Exercise 3 times
3. Continue to get to bed earlier
I’m hoping to find a cheap treadmill somewhere. I really enjoy the treadmill and I’d like to have one at home. You can pray with me that God will provide one!
Thanks for checking in on me. If you’re tellin’ the truth today about your health goals leave a comment or link to your blog.

Hi Lizzie,
Wish I could report a good loss, a small loss, any loss, but to tell the truth this week I stayed the same weight. That in it self is good as my niece and I ate out twice. We had a great time, but it wasn’t good for staying on plan. Promise I will work harder this week.
It is exciting to hear how well you did. Really PROUD of you Lizzie.

NOT to be jelous…..but I know we are all different…
so I’m still plugging away…..trying NOT to focus
on what I can’t have and sticking to what I can…..

Great job! Any loss is good. I get super excited even if it’s a half a Lb. I usually lose about 1 LB a week. Slow and steady wins the race, I just have 11 to go. As long as the numbers are going down, you’re headed in the right direction, even if it’s just a little bit down
