Aww…
by adustyframe ~ February 9th, 2010

Lee has been working on the truck at his brother’s shop so he can be in the garage.
Yesterday afternoon, the phone rang. When I picked up, all I heard was music. This music to be specific.
(Oh My Love)
Lee said he was working on the truck and heard it come on the radio. He ran to get the phone so he could call me.
Awww! I can just picture him running for the phone and it makes me smile!
When he asked me to marry him he made a tape–yes a tape–of old love songs. This was one of the songs.
He cut it off quickly when his nephew came in and started howling and making fun of Lee.
I thought it was very very sweet. I told him to tell his nephew that he shouldn’t make fun of us. If we’re still in love 12 years later after ALL we’ve been through, it’s a good thing.
This is the other song he always played for me.
(Earth Angel)
Back to that marriage proposal–he asked me to marry him on Valentines Day. After I said “yes”, he ran to the tape player again and played this one.
(Going to the Chapel)
I laughed at him. I guess he was pretty sure I would say yes.
This Valentine’s is the first one in years that we’ll be able to spend together. I’m looking forward to a fun date night.

Thank you for sharing this precious memory in your lives. I praise God for the hedge of protection He has surrounded your marriage with. One of our favorite love songs is “My cup runneth over with LOVE” by Ed Ames. We will celebrate 44 years in September. We love you kids. Have a wonderful time as you celebrate. Hugs.
Thanks:)
I’ll have to look up that song!
