Tellin’ The Truth Tuesday

by adustyframe ~ February 23rd, 2010

This week I did pretty good at getting to bed. I didn’t go to bed on time every day, but I didn’t stay up late very often. I think that as long as I keep working on this, I’ll get there eventually.

I’m working on uppping my veggies and lowering the cheese–I like me some cheese!

I bought some organic greens and spinach at the store that make it super easy to eat a big salad. That’s been helping.

I got homeopathic drops at the health food store called “Thyroid assist”. I have no clue if they’re working or not, but the 1st two days I took it I was so hungry. That has settled down now. I’ll have to see over time if I think it’s helping any.

I told the lady, I’m not looking for a magic pill. I am exercising and eating right and if there’s something that can help my metabolism wake up, I’m all for it.

I exercised 4 times this week. I would have exercised on Monday, but James was ill all day and our kitty had an accident. It was an all around crazy day so only 4 this week.

My goals for this week:

1. Keep working on an earlier bedtime.

2. Eat less cheese

3. Eat more veggies

4. Watch the salt

5. Exercise 3 times.

This morning I stepped on the scale. I discovered that it has a 7 pound difference depending on where the silly scale is sitting! I put it back in the middle where I have been weighing and it said I’ve lost 7.4 lbs this week!

Woo hoo! I’m glad I didn’t give up last week with the crazy gain. I don’t really think I lost that much this week. I think that I had gained water weight due to too much salt the weekend Lee and I went away.

So that’s a total for this month of 7.8 lbs and that’s pretty good I think!

Thanks for all your encouragement!

You can leave a comment here about your health goals for the week. Whether it’s taking your vitamins, drinking more water, etc. It doesn’t just have to be weight loss goals.

So happy to hear how well you are doing. I have to report a 1 pound gain.

I think my goal is just to exercise once this week deliberately. I say deliberately because I do so much walking every day (no car needed where I live) that I often act as if that counts for exercise. But I never get my heart rate up, so I need to do some cardio at least once. Just not motivated! But writing it down makes me more accountable.
Great job with your progress! It’s good to see the rewards when the scale drops isn’t it? (and you feel better, too!)

I’m sooooooooo proud of you!!!! Keep up the good work.

Keep up the good work! One trick I’ve found about the scales is keep it in the same place each time you weigh and place the scale on a hard wood or concrete surface. Lanolium doesn’t work that well because it is soft. I keep my scale in the kitchen on the wood floor.

good job! I really need to set some exercise goals for myself – I moved out to the suburbs from nyc and have become so sedentary! I had to walk everywhere in the city, including 6 blocks to and from school pushing a 50 lbs stroller, a 30 lb toddler and a 38 lb 5 year old! Now I hop in the car – much easier, but not nearly as good for my health!

I’d rather do a dvd than push that stroller;0!
