Tellin’ the Truth Tuesday

Last weeks weight loss (FINALLY!) motivated me quite a bit.

I also dug out a card that came with my Turbo Jam set. In October, I entered my measurements and weight and then didn’t do Turbo Jam very much.

I decided I’d just compare myself to October’s measurements since I didn’t take measurements when I started the first of February.

I discovered that I weighed 7 lbs more in October than I did in February so I’m claiming that seven pound weight loss too! I asked my mom and she said, “Claim it, girl!”

So, I entered the week with a 14.8 weight loss rather than a 7 lb weight loss. Doesn’t that sound much better!

I was very pleased with my measurements too! I lost inches in several areas.

Big Goal:

*Lose 15 more lbs by Easter

I’ll take my measurements again at Easter and see if I’ve made any progress.

Progress last week:

I did well last week, although I noticed myself on Sunday night giving myself permission to nibble things that I didn’t plan to count. I sternly spoke with myself and am hopefully back on track. It was small, but I can’t allow myself to be derailed anytime soon.

Getting to bed continues to be something that I need to be better at. Some nights I’ve gone to bed very early. Some nights around my target time and some nights I stayed up too late.

I exercised 4 times this week. I think that’s awesome. Especially because we had a really crazy week last week.

During all the crazies, I felt the urge to eat emotionally, but thankfully, I didn’t give in.

When I weighed this morning, I’ve lost 1.2 lbs this week. Total 9 lbs since the 1st of February and 16 lbs since October!

Goals for this week:

1. Stay on plan

2. Get to bed earlier

3. Exercise 3 times

4. Brainstorm strategies to help me behave this weekend. (I get to go to a retreat.)

    I have been on a 30 day weight loss challenge since Feb 1. I have had a few setbacks, including that my scale wasn’t weighing me right! I just got back into working out today after having a nasty cold last week! But I am not getting on that scale for at least another week 🙂 Wishing you much success on your goals this week!

    Congratulations! That is a fantastic result!! 🙂 I have continued to exercise despite my body being uncooperative with hormones and breastfeeding – I figure that no matter what my weight, my heart could use the cardio and that once I stop nursing it will make the weight come off that much easier. 🙂 Reminding myself that slow and steady (or sometimes even just steady) wins the race!’
