Tellin the truth Tuesday

I’m feeling good and I can tell my clothes fit better.

I’m doing pretty good on the eating plan. My biggest downfall seems to be when I don’t plan ahead and have a meal ready. Winging it doesn’t work for me.

We had a dinner at church on Saturday night, and I took a salad and yogurt. It felt so good to be pro-active and take something I’d enjoy without ruining my plan.

I’m reading Finally Thin by Kim Bensen. She lost 212 lbs on Weight Watchers. I’m enjoying her motivation and I just got to the recipes!

I got in 3 workouts this week. I’m happy with that although I do want to bump it up to 4 times a week.

I drank tons of water this week.

Going to bed early–not happening!

I weighed this morning and I’m down 1.6 lbs for a total of 10.6 since February and 17.6 since October.

Should I just use the since October figure as my amount rather than always writing it out? I can’t decide.

Goals for this week:

1. Exercise 4 x

2. Drink tons of water

3. Stay on plan–try a new recipe from the book I’m reading.

4. Try to go to bed earlier–I should almost give this up, but I’ll keep trying!

What about you? Do you have any health goals for the week? How did you do last week?

Good for you, Lizzie! Don’t give up working at the earlier bedtime! It will make a difference in your energy level. Did you always stay up late when Lee was home? I know that when my husband is not home, I don’t like to go to bed, and I will stay up way too late. Then, I pay for it the next several days. That happens just occasionally now for me(“old age” is creeping up and I don’t have as much of a choice!), but I used to do it frequently.

I need to work on the exercise more. We did get a dog in January. He is high energy, and he HAS to be walked. That has been good for me. My husband actually has a hard time keeping up with us when he goes along. That is very unusual! 🙂

Thanks for continuing to keep it real! We need all of the help from others that we can get!

I know I’ll keep working at it as a goal. I stayed up a little late when Lee was home, but not like I do now. Now I think it’s just a bad habit!

Great work! I keep meaning to get some exercise in, but then the day slips away.

I’ve been meaning to leave a comment about this and your post today reminded me. Do a Google search for “sleep weight loss” and read the first couple of articles. There is real scientific data out there about how a lack of sleep sabotages your diet. The articles may give you some inspiration to go to bed earlier!

Thank you, I will do that.
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about this and will possibly post about it sometime!

So happy for you Lizzie. I didn’t get to weight today until about 10:30 tonight. I lost 4 pounds after my gain last week. I walked our neighbors dog 4 times this week. I have to get back to writting down everything I eat, plus I need to count carb’s that is how I have had success in the past. Also my A1C tested at 8.4 on Saturday so I need to get that below 7.0.
