Download N go Unit Studies~Review
by adustyframe ~ June 3rd, 2010I received the opportunity from Litfuse publicity to review the Download N Go unit studies from Amanda Bennett and The Old Schoolhouse.
The Download N Go studies are named that because they’re ready to go. I got to review Whales Tales and Davy Crockett.
They are a combination of unit studies and lapbooking. They look like they’d be a great thing to do in the summer or to supplement studies during the year.
Each study is a 5 day unit although in my opinion it looks like too much to do on one day unless we neglect our other studies. Each unit includes book ideas and links.
I like that the links are printed right in each day to click on as you go. For example in the Davy Crockett study, there’s a link to listen to the Davy Crockett ballad.
There is map work, spaces for art, bits of history, geography, and fun activities.
Each Download N Go comes ready to print in color. All the pieces your child cuts out to glue in the lapbook are in color and just need to be printed.
The end of the book has ideas for other things to do and more links. They’re well organized and full of information.
The Davy Crockett book looks like a lot of fun and I think James and I will do that over the summer.
