Coconut Flour~Tropical Traditions Giveaway~Enter to Win!

by adustyframe ~ September 14th, 2010

Tropical Traditions provided me with a sample of their coconut flour for this review. I was excited because I just found out I was allowed to use coconut flour on the less strict phase of my diet.

When the box arrived, the aroma of coconut was so yummy!

So far I’ve tried making a pie crust with the coconut flour and I made coconut bread. The crust I wasn’t in love with but the bread was good. I put it with berries and fresh whipped cream sweetened with stevia. That was pretty good. It was like a short cake.

I also want to try these coconut cookies. It says to grind coconut fine, but I’m pretty sure that’s what coconut flour is so I’m going to give it a try.

I don’t have a lot of experience with this yet, but I’ve heard that coconut flour can be dry so you need to use recipes formulated for coconut flour.

Tropical Traditions is offering coconut flour to one of you too!

    That’s weird!

I already subscribe. Can you use this like regular flour or is it more for special stuff?

I would try the Apple cinnamon scones. I’m wondering how it would taste with regular flour because they sound good.

I’ve subscribed to their newletters a long time ago. I would like to win as I’ve been reading a lot about gluten intolerance and health problems and wonder if getting away from wheat flour would help me. So I would like to try coconut flour.
