Tellin the truth Tuesday

Hmm what to say…

Well, I’m on a little break. I planned to take off this week at Christmas and enjoy a few treats. It’s probably not the very best for my progress, but you know if I’m going to live healthy the rest of my life, I have to learn how to enjoy a treat now and then.

So the plan is that on Sunday, I’ll head back into the strict phase of my diet and move on from there.

I tried on some pants the other day in a size I haven’t been able to wear in years! They fit but I wouldn’t quite wear them in public yet. I was so excited!

You know the saying, “Nothing tastes as good as thin feels.”? Well, I understand that now–although I’m not thin yet!

I’ve been getting a lot of compliments which is always good for the head! (;0 ) It’s also a great motivation to keep up the good work.

James and I just got a greatly reduced discount on a membership at the Y so I’m going to get back to my treadmill walking. I love walking on the treadmill–I know I’m weird.

I also like the weight machines for making my muscles stronger.

That’s about it here. I think I hear some cookies calling my name…..

you are right- eating healthily for life means being able to take treat breaks and then get back on track. I wore a dress last week that I would never ever have thought I could wear- have lost 2 stone 11 lbs since July. Expecting a gain over Christmas, but hey ho! I’ll enjoy the food anyway. And the saying’nothing tastes as good as being slim feels’ is true isn’t it? I used to laugh at that saying- now I know it is true…although I am not yet thin either! 🙂 Keep it going and enjoy your Christmas treats!

I have gone from a 12 / 14 petite to a 4!!!! Still walking twice a day even when it’s 8 degrees out but it’s paying off and a real stress reliever……..I’m thankful for the ability to walk.
