Wednesday Hodgepodge

by adustyframe ~ January 19th, 2011

Joyce From This Side of the Pond hosts a weekly Wednesday Hodgepodge of questions for fun and for getting to know each other.

1. Do you like your name? Were you named after someone? If you have children how did you settle on their names?

I do actually. When I was a child, I hated it and was mad at my parents for not naming me Laura Elizabeth. I made peace with my name though! My name (not Lizzie you know….) is spelled uniquely so that’s kind of fun!

2. How do you define success?
Honoring the Lord and his will for my life.

3. Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy?

Jeopardy–we watch it together almost every night. This hilarious Tim Hawkins video talks about this very question! YouTube Preview Image

4. If you could own any single object that you don’t have now, what would that object be?

Hmmm…I’d love lots of things! But I guess a flash for my camera so I can take my photography to the next level.

5. What is something that inspires you?

People who don’t let trials and adversity ruin their lives.

6. Meatloaf-yea or nay? If its a yay how do you make yours?

I like it. I can’t eat it right now! I make it in the oven and we love to put cheese on top. I use this recipe from a church cookbook and it turns out great every time.

7. Which is more admirable-the ability to organize and be methodical or the ability to adapt and make do?

Both–but learning how to adapt and make do sure makes you more content!

8. Insert your own random thought here.

A random thought……we should have taken a homeschool snow day the other day…

I love Tim Hawkins! He came to our church last year. I couldn’t go because of another commitment, but my son went and had a great time!!

  2. Barbara H.

Funny video! Love your answers to 2 and 5.

  3. Joyce

I’m really enjoying reading all the different answers to #5..they are day brighteners!

I love the colors in your blog-very pretty : )

  4. Tammy

I really liked your answer to #2 and #5. Number 5 really hit home to me. My husband was diagnosed with colon cancer last year and boy was this a blow. But I kept him upbeat by saying this was just a little bump in the road-looking back I know it was God who gave me the strength and courage to get through this.
