Done? Oops…Not Yet

Yesterday was rather anticlimactic. It was just a day. Not even a super day. Lee and I both felt crummy.

He has some sort of bug and I have allergies–really bad!

Our car is acting up so James and I had to take him to work and pick him up at 11 pm.(Yawn!)

It was a momentous day but really it was just a day!

This morning, I wondered if Lee and I feel crummy just because it’s the lifting of the burden. I tend to fall apart after the fact. I don’t know. I’m rambling really.

Lee’s parole officer (former!!) called today. “Hey, I bet you didn’t expect to hear from me so soon especially since you discharged yesterday. But you owe $73.50 in court costs and eventually if you don’t pay it they’ll just swear out a bench warrant. So just bring the money in and I’ll take care of it.”

It’s not really any big deal. It’s just funny that after everything we’ve been through and everything going completely different than we thought it would, once again something happens to show that for some reason we must just be “special!”.

So, he’s done but not technically. Although, I know that when he gets paid, we’ll just get a money order. What’s a couple more days after all these years, right?

    WOW !!!!!

and … $73.50 compared to … all the rest? sheesh!

how thankful he has a job and will get a paycheck from which this can be paid 🙂

I know what you mean about not quite done. My son is always saying he’s “free now” and I have to bite my tongue and not say “well, not quite……till you are 18”. Glad Lee is home–any transition has it’s momments of trying to defeat you–just stay strong.

I echo what Ame said; but I’m sure it “felt” like more than what it was. I was thinking about you a ton and will be glad when even the “not technically” part gets removed!
