Works of God~Share A Blessing (Pretty Please?)

Blessings from our week

1. Lee was laid off for 3 weeks. Now, I have to admit that I did not particularly think this was a blessing. Part of me is slightly worried that they won’t call him back after the 3 weeks too. However, I just know God must be giving us an opportunity to trust and that He will provide. It’s not like He hasn’t been caring for us for a really long time right?

2. James and I got to visit with my brother and sister in law and my nephew–he’s so sweet! He’s getting to be a big toddler and he cracked us up!

3. I was able to spend some “girl time” with a “newish” friend. It’s a blessing to be able to talk with a godly woman and have her offer prayer support. (Like so many of you do! I just can’t go get coffee with you!)

4. Pretty decent sales in my online venues. Originally, I started listing a bunch of things so that we could take a mini vacation during Lee’s lay off–the lay off was supposed to be for ONE week. After we found out it was three weeks of no income, we nixed the mini vacation and we’re going to camp for a couple nights.

I’m thankful for the sales because they will finance the camping trip and then the rest will go towards the bills!

5. A gift of money from a friend–completely unexpected!

God IS good and even if I don’t like the lay off I know He will care for us.

What about you? Any blessings?

I am sorry to hear about the layoff — that must have been discouraging at first, but you have a great perspective (won by years of experience!) of trusting God to supply.

I’m praying for a swift passing of the 3 weeks and a call!! 🙂 Our blessing came in the form of a minor fender bender that resulted in an insurance settlement – and added to the sale of our old van, God provided a new-to-us van for the same exact price! So exciting!

My blessing this week is that my oldest and I are going to take a class this week (sponsored by the local extension office) on how to can! It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, but never have found someone to teach me. I’m also looking forward to spending that time with my daughter.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with more of a layoff. I am, however, excited to see how the Lord will provide. You have such a testimony of His watch-care over the years, and that will reap such a harvest in your son when he faces challenges as an adult! Bless you.

My blessing is that my hubby and two oldest sons arrived home from a week-long Scout camp. There were no serious injuries and they survived the 100 degree heat.

Bummer about the layoff. I will pray for him to be called back to work.

How do I get to your online shop?

I love your quote, “However, I just know God must be giving us an opportunity to trust and that He will provide. It’s not like He hasn’t been caring for us for a really long time right?” This is such a comfort to me. I have saved it for future reference.:)
