The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith, and the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety. “

George Muller

What a quote to contemplate. What do you think?
I know personally that everytime my stomach starts churning and the worry threatens to overtake me it’s not because I’m completely depending on God!

You ought to link this up to The Week In Words. 😀

I don’t know if I’d say people either have totally one or the other — for me it seems faith and anxiety vie for the upper hand every other minute in some situations. I look at it kind of like the man who said, “I believe…Lord, help my unbelief.” Though I don’t know if I have ever put it quite this way, sometimes my intent in praying is something like, “Lord, I believe in my head that you have everything under control and will provide for my every need: help the rest of me to truly live in that belief,”

I found the perfect little shabby chic framed print with the inscription “Trust in the Lord” that I hung right at eye level right above my bill paying desk. I put it there as a quiet little reminder for myself! 😉
