Works Of God~Share A Blessing

Is anyone blessed this week?

I’m thankful for rest. I overslept today–waaaaay overslept! But at least I’m rested.

I’m thankful that our school year seems to go better.

I’m thankful for our food dehydrator. We’ve had it for years and I just never used it! I’ve been using it a lot lately. I have green beans from the farmer’s market drying right now.

I’m thankful for Autumn. I LOVE Autumn!

I’m thankful that God leads in our lives even if it doesn’t always make sense to me!
What about you?

Lizzie

Lovely. Do green beans cook up well after dehydrating them? I’l looking into drying beans, tomatos, parsley, basil, etc. We don’t have a dehydrator yet.

Thankful for all the opportunities the Lord has opened up for me to teach the Bible here in Japan!

Thankful for skype! Able to talk to my family and friends 🙂

Thankful for a gas stove 🙂

Mostly thankful for my family, and our church. We have the most wonderful small group, too. Such loving people, and just the biggest gaggle of kids! I’m grateful that my children now have such nice kids to play with.

My husband was out of town overnight, earlier this week. I prayed that God would help me find the energy, time, and inclination to get our bedroom clean. It’s sort of the last place I worry about straightening up, because no one but us ever sees it – isn’t that terrible? As if my husband is worth cleaning for…but anyway, that evening I got a call from a friend whose septic tank was having issues, asking if they could come shower at our house in the morning. I was happy to say yes, and I was glad she was comfortable calling and asking. Then I looked around the room that she would be coming in to shower (my room), and realized I had a lot of work ahead of me! Well, I stayed up late to get it done, and I’m so grateful that God gave me exactly what I asked: the energy, time, and inclination to get it clean! My husband was so happy that it looked nice when he got home, too! Now I’m hoping I can keep it looking nice, for him!

My mother’s neighbor (wife) passed away suddenly last week. Neither the wife who died, nor her husband, were believers, and it’s just so sad to me to think that he has to mourn without hope. I’m grateful that my husband and I share our faith in Jesus, so that even if the unthinkable happens, we’ll know that we rest secure in Him.

Those are my blessings this week!
