For Now…

by adustyframe ~ October 26th, 2011

I’m not going to post any “face photos”.

My dear friend sent this in an email after I posted the other photos and she said I could quote her.

I read your Dusty frame the other day about you guys maybe putting your photos up and then just looked at it a again a few minutes ago. I love how you put up ones with your backs. All three were the perfect choice. … I wanted to tell you what I thought about you guys putting up your real faces.

I think you should leave it the way it is and not show everyone your face photos. Not because there is shame in what you’ve gone through, but I think you have graciously shared so much of your lives with everyone that you need to have something that is private. When your book comes out, maybe review the option of sharing with everyone your face photos. Okay, like I said, you might be saying  mind your own business 🙂 I hope you’re not offended that I wrote you and told you my opinion.

She’s such a good friend that of course I’m not offended! I just really appreciate her sharing her heart and giving us words for the decision we’ve reached for now.

I won’t share her name so that you don’t go “throw eggs” at her blog–lol.

So for now you all get the Heidi ho neighbor photos for awhile longer.

4 Thoughts Shared to For Now…

  1. Carol

No need for “throwing eggs” at anyone. I think your friend is very wise. When, and if, the time is ever “right” for you to show your faces, the Lord will make it very clear to you and your husband. You only answer to Him.

  2. Eliza

You are known to God — that’s most important.
Your wise friend is right 😉

  3. Jody

I agree with her, for a slightly different reason. My thought was that if you shared photos and people knew who you were you might feel compelled to change your tone … to not be so forthright and honest and to be a little more protective of yourselves. Anyhoo … I’m glad you made the decision you did (plus, an air of mystery is very intriguing).

  4. Ame

i absolutely agree … and when your book comes out, you can even publish it under a sudo name. your exact identity is not as important as the message.
