Lee’s Job

by adustyframe ~ November 30th, 2011

Things are coming to a head at his job. It’s a LONG story, but the man does not run his business with any sort of integrity and Lee will not be able to work there much longer at all.

Promises have not been kept–including things like keeping fuel in his truck so he can deliver the loads! If he’s not running he’s not paid.

So, on Monday I did mention to pray that he could find another job.

He found a lead that sounds really really promising. They already offered to hire him.

However, he’s not met the people or been able to be certain it’s a real job. We’re trying to stay cool calm and collected until we know for sure if it’s for real.

It sounds “too good to be true” and sadly our cynicism makes us feel like our “luck” isn’t this good.

Of course we KNOW that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think. I’m hoping/trusting that this job offer is a God thing rather than just another disappointment.

If it’s not a real job I’m not really sure what we will do because this job is not working out. It’s not the days away from home–we can handle that. It’s everything else.

I guess I’m sharing this to ask you to please pray that God will open something up FAST and that if this offer is a real job we will know it for sure and have peace. He’s hoping to be able to meet them in the next couple of days and I will let you know when we know something.

**I should clarify that he LOVES driving the truck and all the places he’s been and people he’s met. He called me so excited last Sunday because he went to church at Tony Evan’s church. He’s willing to work hard and really enjoys the job of semi driving. It’s just this particular boss!

He also knows that since he’s a new (ish) driver with a less than stellar criminal record, he has to “pay his dues” somewhere to get started. He doesn’t expect a fancy trucking job with big bucks right now–not at all! But he does expect miles and FUEL! and a little honesty would be nice too….**

Praying….I guess I’d pray to change the guys heart or at least let him put his cards on the table honestly about why this is happening. Another short term gig on his record isn’t helpful so I’m praying this will somehow turn out ok. Meanwhile, I’m sure you’re saving every dime possible “in case.” I’m praying and praying!

    Will do.
