M-E-R-R-Y Swap

by adustyframe ~ December 13th, 2011

A few times over the years, I’ve participated in Carrie and Monica’s Sister swap. It’s pretty fun to think of things to send to someone else.

I read their blog and send emails and try to make sure I can send things that they will enjoy.

I was given Monica to swap with this time.

Here’s what I sent her–

Here is what she sent me!

A beautiful “chef’ snowman ornament for my snowman collection!

A mug and tea (I sent her a mug and tea too!–Great minds…)

She sent me all sorts of red things–which is my FAVE!

She made a pretty canvas with buttons and music (both are things I adore!) I hung it in my bathroom because I didn’t have any Christmas touches in there. It inspired me to get some pretty red hand towels for the bathroom.

I also propped up this book she sent about Christmas carols–next to the candle she sent in the bathroom. “Adore” is my word for Christmas this year, so I love that I can see a reminder that I’m trying to adore Christ this season every time I step in the bathroom.

She also sent a pretty snowflake that’s so pretty on the tree.

Everything was in a basket with plates, napkins, a journal, notecards and pecans!

She was so sweet to not send chocolate–I said I don’t need any treats and she didn’t send any! I appreciate that. But the pecans were so cool. My Grandpa had pecan trees when he retired to Tennessee. He sent us pecans every year at Christmas. How nostalgic to get a bag of pecans at Christmas from a friend.

Monica posted about what I sent her here.

    Lizzie,

Glad you joined us for another swap! Those red Scrabble tiles are so neat. Enjoy the pecans–yum.

    Hi Lizzie!

Yippee! So glad you enjoyed your box – I have to tell you, I’ve enjoyed the peppermint bark you sent {ah-mazing} and used the spoons and tea yesterday for an impromptu cup of tea in the car while waiting for our little ballerinas!

    Merry Christmas!
    Monica
