I had a discussion with someone about blogging and the question was asked, “What does it profit us?”

I thought about that with this blog.

Well, I’ve had some ads, some free products for reviews, some gifts (ok lots of gifts) given to me by you wonderful people. That was tangible profit.

But I think that what I profited/profit from THIS blog, is that your prayers, advice, caring, and friendship helped carry me through this ugly trial.

As I thought about that this morning, I realized that was God’s purpose for me to blog. I remember shaking inside before I hit publish on my first post but I knew God wanted me to share our story and His work in our lives.  I think that one of His purposes for this blog is to share that, but I also think another purpose was to gather support for me.

Wow–pretty cool!
Thank you doesn’t seem a big enough word–but thank you!

blogging creates a unique community that is often difficult to explain to those who don’t blog.

it gathers people together who would ordinarily never even know the other existed. it creates a safe haven for those who have shared similar life-experiences. it creates a support group. it encourages the writer and the reader. it makes us normal.

    pretty cool, huh 🙂

Your blog has touched many hearts……your transparency is refreshing.
My daughter is in a different situation…..challenging but different
She just started a blog in Aug. She picked the 24 for her launch because it would have been her grandfathers 85th birthday…he went to be with Jesus on Easter Sunday.
I would be honored if yu would check it out
    God Bless

I am thank you for starting this blog. You have helped my perspective of people and hopefully I am more considerate and caring as a result. I have prayed for you, and it has been a joy to see the Lord working in and through your family.

I don’t know if I’ve ever commented before, but it has been my privilege to pray for you over the past few years, and I’ve been blessed reading about God’s work in your life. So your blog has blessed many people besides the three in your family. Keep it up! You are being faithful to what the Lord has asked you to do.
