New Authors I’ve Found Because Of My Kindle

by adustyframe ~ September 3rd, 2012

I found a few authors this year that I had never heard of before. They were free for Kindle books. I discovered I really enjoyed their writing.

I currently have more free books on my Kindle than I will be able to read anytime soon, but if you’re a book lover as I am, you’ll know that is a delicious thing!

Here are a few I found this year that I never read before I found them “free for Kindle”.

Richard Mabry-so far I’ve read his medical mysteries.

Judy Pace Christie–the Green series.

Joyce Magnin–I’ve read all but the Christmas book.

Sandra Bricker–I’ve only read The Big 5-0 so far. It was a fun light hearted read.
OOO! I forgot one~Randy Singer~In the winter, I got one of his books free. It was so good. I’ve since checked out all his books and read them!

All of these authors are authors I never heard of before I found a free Kindle version of one of their books. I did get one or two of the Mabry books and one of Judy Christie’s books from the library after I read one of the Kindle books.

I’ve also read free Kindle books by authors I already enjoyed but I think it’s neat that I found some new enjoyable books just because of the Kindle.

What about you? Have you found new authors you enjoy through free e-books?

Tamera Alexander – I really liked her book Rekindled that I got free for my itouch. I also really enjoyed the Centurion’s Wife by Janette Oke and T Davis Bunn. I’m not a huge fan of books written by Janette Oke, but this book had really strong characters and the backstory of the book was really interesting. I also discovered Julie Klassen. I believe I got the Apothecary’s Daughter free for my Kindle and since have checked out other books of hers that I like. I like the Green series too. The first one of the Sandra Bricker’s Bride series was good also. The succeeding ones weren’t as good in my opinion. I will have to try the Big 5-0. I’ve got it on my kindle but haven’t read it yet =)

I got The Big 5-0 on my kindle app, too, and really enjoyed it. Like you, I have so many books on there right now it will take me a while to get to them. Probably my favorite book read on the Kindle app so far was Infinitely More by Alex Krutov, a true story about a boy growing up in the Soviet orphanage system who becomes a believer.
