Angel Tree

It’s Angel Tree time again!

Do any of you go to a church that helps with Angel Tree?

In the years since I wrote this post, I’ve continued to appreciate this ministry. I’m not going to rewrite my post about Angel Tree so please do read it. It shares how it affected us and the great need for other children to be served.

These children are hurting in ways you cannot imagine if you’ve not been there. Having a parent in prison is beyond difficult for the entire family in ways that are hard to imagine.

Christmas without that parent is incredibly sad.

From Angel Tree’s website:

No child deserves to feel forgotten and alone. When you partner with Angel Tree, you help prisoners’ children know they’re not forgotten, you help share the Gospel with lonely families, and you serve as an example of Christ’s love to the parents behind bars.

If your church doesn’t have an Angel Tree program, you can still donate to help. Just a few dollars is all it takes to reach a hurting child with the love of their incarcerated parent and more importantly with the love of Christ.

In Matthew 18:5 Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.”
