Pregnancy Update
by adustyframe ~ February 7th, 2013Today, I am 19 weeks. Wow!
A couple weeks ago, I thought, “Oh no, that’s 1/2 way there and I’m not ready yet.”
Today I’m thinking, “Man! When I was 5 weeks and could barely keep my eyes open I couldn’t even imagine being this far along.”
Lots of times it still doesn’t seem real to me. I’ve prayed, cried, wished, dreamed, and argued for a baby for so many years and it’s truly a big miracle that God answered my prayer.
I’m starting to feel some stronger bumps. I’ve felt flutters for a few weeks–a tiny tiny tickle.
Besides feeling tired, I’m mostly feeling fine. Thankfully I’m not as tired as I was the first several weeks. These are my best friend–although I use a brand I found at the health food store. My chiropractor suggested them to me one of those early weeks when I was sick, exhausted, and miserable. They really seem to help!
I get a little nausea now and then but it’s nothing too bad.
I’ve been doing a LOT of reading because when my energy is gone that’s about all I can do. If you check out my Pinterest board of books I’ve read in 2013, you’ll see just how much reading!
I’m so thankful that James is a big boy and can help me as well as take care of himself.
I go to a midwife appointment tomorrow and hopefully she’ll schedule my big ultrasound!

I loved……loved…..loved feeling my daughter move inside of me….that was many years ago but I’ll never forget that joy.

So glad to hear such a good report. I remember the movement. That is so exciting. Our neighbor lady had her baby on Jan. 22. About a week before that she told her 3 year old to watch the baby kick and placed his hand on her tummy so he could feel it kick. He got big tears in his eyes and said “Mommy I think we need to order a nicer baby” (cute things little kids say.) He loves his little brother now.
CUTE!

Lizzie, I am a long-time reader of your wonderful blog, but have never commented. Just wanted to tell you how very, very happy I am for you and your family. You are absolutely inspirational with the way you have walked with God through many hardships. But He is our Redeemer and can redeem tough times and make them beautiful. Congratulations on the new baby!!!
God bless you!
Julie
