Lee’s Gift

by adustyframe ~ February 20th, 2013

One of Lee’s gifts is talking to people easily and always finding a way to talk about the Lord. He amazes me really.

He’s found many opportunities on the road to talk to people. Sometimes, he’s tired and people come right up to him in the truck stop or restaurant and out of the blue make some sort of comment that tells him they are hurting. He says, “Do I have a sign on my forehead?”

I tell him it’s something about him that shows he cares about people.

Today, he started talking about football with a  man in the truck stop and before he knew it the conversation came around to bearing burdens and a recent suicide in the news. Lee was able to share some verses with him.

Another time, a woman was complaining about life and Lee said something to her about her life being important because God made her. She said she didn’t believe in God because she had health problems. They talked for a long time with her arguing about God. Finally she looked at Lee and said, “Maybe you can pray for me.”

I’m thankful that he’s able to talk about God with people in person. I really struggle with that–especially with strangers. God has given him an interesting opportunity to encourage people all across the United States.

3 Thoughts Shared to Lee’s Gift

What a beautiful testimony to be willing to use the gifts and talents God gave him to HIS glory.

  2. Sally Martin

That is exciting and so glad to hear he is at ease speaking. It is hard for me to talk to people I don’t know at times. Share with him that I will be praying for him. Already pray for all of you. Glad he can touch lives that way.

    Now that is cool!
