Easy Meat Pie Topping~Guest Post

Last year while we were in South Africa for a family reunion my sister in law shared her favourite Easy Meat Pie topping.  It takes less then 5 min to prepare and is delicious.


  • 1/2 c. Milk
  • 1/2 c. Oil
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 c. Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder



  1. Take your prepared meat mix and add it to a glass bowl.  I used left over lamb, mixed winter vegetables and a gravy.
  2. In a bowl combine and beat egg, milk and oil lightly.
  3. Sift dry ingredients into mix and mix with a whisk till all lumps are dissolved.
  4. Pour over hot cooked meat
  5. Bake at 180’C (356’F) for 30 min till golden brown
  6. Serve with a green salad
