Tonight, I was taking baby diapers of the line while enjoying the beautiful Indian summer we’ve been blessed with.

I remember my mom saying how she loved seeing baby diapers on the line. I thought she was crazy when I was a kid, but I get her now. I love that they’re getting fresh out there and I love my new clothesline (Mother’s day gift from Lee), but most of all I love that there ARE baby diapers for me to wash and hang on the line.

The other day, I was holding baby. When I pick him up, he puts his little face in my  neck and makes sweet little happy noises. I thought, “I am just SO happy.”

I am :).

That doesn’t mean that we don’t have days that aren’t perfect or that Lee and I don’t ever fuss (hmmmm), but I’m so thankful. Baby has fit right into our lives and we’re so thankful he’s here.

Of course my days are pretty much swallowed up in baby care, and I don’t get a whole lot of extras done, but that’s ok.

I’m so happy and I’m so thankful.

    Hello Lizzie,

I just found your blog again. Somehow we lost touch. I do miss hanging diapers on the line. I now have neither line nor babies. My youngest is 12.

May God bless you and let’s catch up again.

This post made me smile today 🙂 Don’t you just love the laundry line?! I miss mine during the winter and am almost giddy to hang laundry out again in the spring, lol! There’s something peaceful about seeing the towels flapping in the breeze on a warm sunny day. I bring the laundry in after dinner and Hubs usually meets me out at the laundry line and we chit chat about our day. I think it’s one of the few places we can talk without being interrupted by the little ones, lol!
