Summer Busyness

by adustyframe ~ May 29th, 2014

Summer busyness has already set in.

James has softball and he’s going to do some biking at the BMX track. He also has some lawn jobs and just got a new one today.

Lee put in a big garden for me–my 1st “big” garden ever. James and I planted things this week and I’m hoping it does well.

Last year, I did very little gardening. I didn’t feel up to it at planting season and I knew that I’d be too busy to deal with produce in August and September. That was a good choice but I am looking forward to seeing how my garden does this year. The funny thing is that after I planted it, I thought I could have used even more space. The good news is that we do have room if we want to make it a little bigger.

It seems to be the wedding and baby shower season too. I’m not going to too many of those but still have gifts to get out.

Other than that, just the regular old summer stuff!

What about you?

I have two bridal showers and a baby shower within 2.5 weeks! It’s been fun to be creative and find thoughtful gifts that don’t break the bank … just something to say, “We care & we celebrate with you!” … even when I shop my house.

Now ‘overdue’with baby ! Babyshowers not so common over here (booo). And have not been to a wedding in a long time. I miss them ! Enjoy your garden.

Susanna, I was wondering about baby. Are you still blogging? Can you email me your link if so? Praying all goes well…..so if they don’t do baby showers do they do any sort of party for baby? Typically, baby showers are for the 1st baby but we got 2 showers last May….I guess 12 1/2 years between your children and people are excited 😉 They were a huge blessing for us.

Still waiting. No, have not blogged in ages. Keep thinking about it but not really sure what to write ! Use face book and instagram mostly now x If i was working would have had some kind of baby shower i guess….if I was in a bigger church with Pepe my own age as well. But what my church have always done is arrange meals for us for a bit when baby born which is a great blessing.

There are a whole slew of baby and wedding showers here, too.

We don’t have any real plans this summer. With older kids, there’s not so much of the sports and camp stuff to deal with. My oldest will be coming in August and we’re looking forward to my grandson coming home from the hospital some time in the next few weeks. Other than that I don’t have any real plans. I do want to get some old photographs (from before digital cameras) that are in shoe boxes into albums and redo my current albums as they’re the old sticky kind that they say aren’t good for photographs.

My husband is the gardener – his family always had one. We had one for a few years but he didn’t really have time to deal with it, and it was a constant battle against bugs.
