I had the pleasure of reviewing Mom’s Night Out on DVD. It looked like a fun family friendly movie so I took it along on our vacation.

One night when James and Lee were busy, I sat down to watch it.

Funny! I had some laugh out loud moments for sure.  I’m a bit of a Patricia Heaton fan so I enjoyed seeing her in this movie. James said, “It’s kind of weird to see her in a movie where she has it all together”. Lol…

The moms just want a fun night out and then everything that can go wrong does go wrong.  I enjoyed watching the movie and actually want to rewatch it…I think I missed a few parts while attending to a little munchkin.

At the end, I actually started crying. I wasn’t sure why but when the dad said to his wife, “What you do is important.” I started crying. What we moms do IS important and it was nice to hear a movie say so!

Here’s a synopsis:

All Allyson and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and conversation . . . a long-needed moms’ night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a paper bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for three hours—what could go wrong?

You can watch a trailer here at Mom’s Night Out movie website.

It says it’s rated PG but I’m not really sure why…..I didn’t find anything objectionable other than a scene in a tattoo parlor but the scene wasn’t objectionable. Perhaps some wouldn’t like the tattoo parlor? I don’t know!

Here’s the good news! I have a copy to give away! It includes Blue Ray and DVD as well as bloopers and some other special features.
