Wishing You A Blessed Easter

by adustyframe ~ March 25th, 2016

We have a quiet weekend planned. James is hanging out with friends from church. They’re on spring break and the guys have a guys weekend planned until Saturday night.

Nathan and I are hanging out. He’s been enjoying the Resurrection eggs and his books about the story of Easter.

Tomorrow, we may  color eggs and that’s about it. We pick up James tomorrow night and then Easter services on Sunday.

Lee is across the country and when he’s gone we just don’t have a huge day on holidays. That’s funny because he doesn’t really love all the hoopla surrounding any holiday. I guess it’s more that I don’t make a big meal if he’s not home!

We didn’t go to Good Friday services today. It was during little guy’s nap time. He’s a handful when he’s tired and I just didn’t think it was a great idea!

What about you? Do you have any plans for the weekend?

Hope you had a lovely Easter! Sounds restful! Our church always has special services on Easter service, but just one, longer service in the morning with no Sunday School or evening service. Then we had dinner with the family and had a first Easter egg hunt for my little grandson. Then naps and then ham sandwiches. 🙂 A very nice day all around.

    Sounds perfect 🙂

David worked Saturday and Sunday and my youngest 2 have been ill so it has been minimal here. We went out for a couple of hours in the Friday for an egg hunt at a National Trust property. This evening I painted the front room wall…..we msy be moving in the next 2 or 3 months. If we do then packing up will be a major task.

Sorry for the sickness! hope everyone is well very soon!!

We went to Easter breakfast at church. Then Sunday school and church. In the afternoon we were invited to our friends house for dinner. There were 14 of us. Their children and grandchildren and one lady from town who is by herself. I made glorified rice and deviled eggs. They served prime rib and Salisbury steak. YUM.
