Happy New Years

What are your plans for New Years?
We’re having a quiet night at home–yeah!!

I haven’t thought about a word for the year. I only do those if I feel like it. I don’t make myself come up with a word.

I was looking at a couple Bible reading plans. I didn’t choose one. I need to do that too!
What about you?

Any resolutions or goals? Any good Bible reading plans? Any exciting plans for the holiday?

Odd, this just showed up in my Feedly this morning. We had a very quiet New year’s Eve and Day at home. My oldest son left to go back to his home, we took the Christmas decorations down, then spent the rest of NYD catching up on computer stuff. NYE we all got together for a meal and dessert then my son and d-i-l and grandson went home, and the rest of us just lazed around and chatted here and there. We turned on the TV long enough to watch the ball drop, then went to bed. The previous week had been quite busy, so that was all the excitement I needed. 🙂

I have never felt led to choose a word for the year. God is usually working on me in more than one area over the course of a year. 🙂 I have not followed a particular Bible reading plan in a long time. I used to read the Bible through in a year, and I still very much believe in reading it through, but I do it at my own pace now. I aim for two chapters a day, but sometimes it’s more or less depending on the length of the chapters, how difficult they are, and whether I find a place I want to stop and camp out for a while.

This is the first day of everyone going back to work, or almost everyone, so it’s my first quiet opportunity to sit down and think and make some plans. I don’t usually make resolutions per se, but I do like to work on reading plans and I have a couple of projects I want to work on.

And now that I have taken up too much of your commenting space, I think I will make this a blog post. 🙂
Never too much space~! Comment away!

I spent New Years in a children’s hospital, over 2 hours away from home. On Boxing day, our 11 month old pulled a very very hot (but thankfully not quite boiling), mug of tea onto herself. 7 days as an inpatient. Thankfully home by January 2nd and healing exceptionally well. But needless to say my whole end of December/ beginning of January has been in uproar!

OH NO!!!!! I’m so sorry ((hugs)) I pray everything is going well now!
