I mentioned yesterday that we enjoyed our quiet Christmas.

Thursday, Lee and I spent some time together. Friday it was just James and I. I just didn’t think about Lee not being home.

I went to visit Lee on Christmas Eve.
The visiting room was decorated. A tree stood in the corner its lights twinkling brightly. A toy train chugged around the base,happily unaware of its location.
The air was full of the sounds of people in a festive mood. Lots of loud talking, laughter, and smiles.

I am in charge of our church library. Since it was very much in need of an update, I’ve been weeding out very old books and replacing them with the boxes of donated newer books.

Last Friday was a big day in our family. I knew that Lee’s parole officer was taking him in at least for the weekend and most likely for longer.
