i think it would be scary to think what that person perceives a ‘normal’ couple to be like … and i wouldn’t want to fit into their ‘normal’ category

my husband and i are very much different, but we compliment each other, too, and it’s awesome

It’s hard to know how they meant it. I wouldn’t take it negatively.

I admit I have known some couples that I have thought similarly about. Though I would never say it, sometimes I’ve thought, “I would never put those two together — I wonder how that came about” more out of curiosity than anything else. But every couple has differences — some are more obvious than others — and we all need grace to handle those differences that “bug” us.

I’ve done this — had all kinds of interesting ideas only to go blank when I get to the computer. I’ve joked that I should get some of those markers for the bathtub for kids so I can jot down ideas that come to me in the shower.

I do this all the time! My “best” ideas come while I am driving or taking a shower. And then I can’t remember them later.

On Monday when I saw one of my doctors I had lost 2 more pounds. So I have lost a total of 15 lbs now. No special diet just smaller portions and less carbs. My blood sugar remains a challenge. I wanted to lose for surgery; now I want to lose at least 30 more pounds for my next goal. Then we will see how much after that.
